The, 'Lost song', from the London Aftershock (volume 1) album of 2024. Jesus Oldman wrote the brilliant music and lyrics for this song with the intention of it being included on my album. I somehow got distracted and it stupidly got missed off.
A song that very nearly got lost in my archive of WAV files. Resurrected and now finally completed with my vocals and so on.
A completed collaboration.
100 percent of the credit must go to JO. I only added some vocals and a 'flavour' of guitar along with his guitar solo.
It perfectly fits into the theme of the London Aftershock album.
OK, where's my multi-coloured psychedelic suit... I have to go on down to Carnaby Street ... "taxi" ... "where to Guv?" ... " Anywhere that's not square man" ha ha
I OWN LONDON TOWN
I own London Town
I'm out to have a walkabout
I own London
I like nice clothes,
I'll do without Actually eating
I like to make them turn their heads
In London Town
A matter of survival
Though I'm dead on arrival
Man I look fine, the best around
I'm nearly fainting to the ground
But I own London Town
I perk right up at dawn
I rise Drink the Coffee
Go to my closet
there it is Colourful armor
It's where it's at, that's where it is
And I feel fine
Don't have it lying on a plate
But I don't care I still look great
I am the coolest cat around
My stomach makes a gurgling sound
But I own London Town
Around I stroll around Around
the round in Piccadilly
I catch the eye of many girls
Dressed up in won't he will he
Some say you are what you eat
I say you are what you wear
Dressed up to the nines
From here to there
1, 2, 3, go
-Guitar solo...
Around I stroll around
Around the round in Piccadilly
I catch the eye of many girls
Dressed up in won't he will he
Some say you are what you eat
I say you are what you wear
Dressed up to the nines
From here to there
l live my life in the here and now
It works for me
Don't know where I will be next year
Please don't bore me
Man do I turn their heads
When I strut around around around
A bit of slap and tickle
A bit of share the pickle
Swim in the Thames maybe I'll drown...
I caught her eye, she's on the point ; )
'cause I own London
Town Na na na na na na na na na na na...
I own London Town
