Between the Palms
Intro:
I saw the fire I saw the flame
You didnt speak, but You called my name.
Between the palms, I saw You there;
Your glory burning through the air.
Verse 1:
You sat between the righteous trees,
Your fire wrapped around like seas.
It burned the bark, it lit the night,
Yet the fruit still shone in perfect light.
I trembled deep, afraid to near,
Your holy blaze was all I could hear.
Though fear took hold, Your mercy bore my boat,
And all I beheld was Your holy glow afloat.
Chorus
Between the palms, You took Your throne
Your fire claimed what was Your own
I lay my life consume it in Your flame
To honour Your name, and still my fruit remains.
Verse 2:
Your fire tests, but does not break
Whats born of You, the flames cant take.
Through heat and trial, the fruit will stay,
Your planted word wont fade away.
Ive been consumed, yet still I stand,
Upheld by the strength of Your right hand.
Through fire and storm, You have made me withstand,
Forever Ill trust in Your perfect plan. *Chorus*
Bridge:
You dried the tears from the widows face,
You welcomed the orphan and called him Your own.
You opened the eyes of the blind to see,
And gave a voice to the silent and oppressed.
Who is like You, O Mighty One?
Your voice leads us through the dark.
Your blazing flame goes before uswe follow,
Oh Father, guiding Your children safely home. *Chorus*
