Jamey Darnold is a singer/songwriter/guitarist/ solo act originally from the banks of the Mississippi river town of Burlington, Ia. He has released to his credit 13 full length albums that seamlessly meld country, blues, and folk styles spanning from 2004's "Burlington Bound.. a railroad town" to 2023's "The Running River". He is influenced by up and coming Americana artist such as "Jason Isbell" to the folk rock classics of "The Eagles", and Neil Young.
His strongest assets are in the singing and songwriting styles portrayed. Life's lessons endured by what makes the American dream real. The byproducts from growing up in rural Iowa and then leaving... to experience life without boundary's on America's endless trail of concrete. What a great song! It surely strikes a note in my heart my heart, as I recognize the feeling of things around you drying out, while you grow older.
Very nice tune and you perform it so well. Singer/songwriting at its' very best!Well aging does bring it closer...great song on a subject many people would never touch. Well done the whole mood the lyrics the music---the voice ---captures it--lets hope your not heading there yet though.Amen to no more of this terrible disease. My mother in law paaaed with this and it was so hard on my wife as a caregiver.
