I'm a pianist/keyboardist who works primarily in the Northwest Indiana / Chicago market.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've worked as a keyboardist, writer and collaborator since the early 1980's; all kinds of situations- live and studio. Have worked in/been based out of Chicago, Nashville, and northern Colorado. Have done a fair amount of roadwork/touring over the past 15 years.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I currently play keys for a variety of acts in the Midwest.
Your musical influences
Billy Joel, Bruce Hornsby, Bill Payne, Tom Howard, Elton John, Ben Folds and Matt Rollings are fellow keyboardists for whom I have a great deal of respect, and from whom I have learned much. Overall artistic influences are too varied and numerous to list in entirety; but a few that come to mind are: The Beatles, Peter Gabriel, Todd Rundgren, Little Feat, Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor, Carol King, Karla Bonoff, The Eagles...
What equipment do you use?
All kinds of appliances intended to recreate acoustic piano, tonewheel organ, etc...Plus a modest assortment of synths - both hardware and software based.
